Λιουμπλιάνα: Υπογραφή Μνημονίου Συνεργασίας Υπουργείου Μετανάστευσης και Ασύλου με τον Οργανισμό Θεμελιωδών Ελευθεριών (FRA)
Ν. Μηταράκης: «To ΥΜΑ εφαρμόζει μία αυστηρή αλλά δίκαιη μεταναστευτική πολιτική, με σεβασμό στα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα και σύμφωνη με το διεθνές και ευρωπαϊκό δίκαιο».
Μνημόνιο Συνεργασίας με τον Οργανισμό Θεμελιωδών Ελευθεριών (FRA) για την περίοδο 2021 – 2024, υπέγραψαν ο Υπουργός Μετανάστευσης και Ασύλου, κ. Νότης Μηταράκης και ο Διευθυντής του Οργανισμού κ. Michael Ο’Flaherty, στο περιθώριο του άτυπου Συμβουλίου Εσωτερικών Υποθέσεων της ΕΕ, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στη Λιουμπλιάνα.
Το Μνημόνιο ανανεώνει τη συνεργασία του ευρωπαϊκού Οργανισμού Θεμελιωδών Ελευθεριών με το Υπουργείο Μετανάστευσης και Ασύλου, σε θέματα συμβουλευτικής υποστήριξης, εκπαίδευσης και ανάπτυξης δυνατοτήτων των στελεχών του Υπουργείου, στον τομέα της προστασίας των θεμελιωδών δικαιωμάτων, σε συνεργασία με τον Συνήγορο του Πολίτη.
Μετά την υπογραφή του Μνημονίου, ο κ. Μηταράκης δήλωσε: ‘’Συνεχίζουμε τη στενή συνεργασία με τον Οργανισμό Θεμελιωδών Ελευθεριών της ΕΕ, καθώς το ΥΜΑ εφαρμόζει μία αυστηρή αλλά δίκαιη μεταναστευτική πολιτική, με σεβασμό στα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα και σύμφωνη με το διεθνές και ευρωπαϊκό δίκαιο. Στόχος μας είναι μέσω της στήριξης του FRA, να επιτύχουμε βέλτιστες πρακτικές και περαιτέρω εξειδίκευση του στελεχιακού δυναμικού του Υπουργείου Μετανάστευσης και Ασύλου, σε ζητήματα ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων’.’’
Ljubljana: Signing of Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry for Migration and Asylum with the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)
N. Mitarachi: “The Ministry for Migration and Asylum implements a strict but fair migration policy, respecting human rights, always in accordance with international and European law.
On the sidelines of the informal EU Home Affairs Council, held in Ljubljana, the Minister for Migration and Asylum, Mr. Notis Mitarachi and the Director of the Organization, Mr. Michael O’Flaherty, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry for Migration and Asylum with the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) for the period 2021 – 2024.
The Memorandum renews the cooperation of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), with the Ministry for Migration and Asylum, in issues such as advisory support, training and capacity building of the Ministry’s executives, in the field of protection of fundamental rights, in cooperation with the Greek Ombudsman.
After signing the Memorandum, Mr. Mitarachi stated the following: “We continue a close cooperation with the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), as Ministry for Migration and Asylum, implements a strict but fair migration policy, respecting for human rights and in accordance with international and European law. Our goal is, through the support of FRA, to achieve best practices and further specialization of the staff of the Ministry for Migration and Asylum, in human rights issues.”
